Grand Prix 5000

Come join us for the once-a-year opportunity to experience the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix by Lear course just like the race car drivers do. Runners & walkers will start from the Official Detroit Grand Prix starting line and experience all 13 turns and a run down BCBSM Pit Lane before crossing under the checkered flag in the shadow of the Cars.com Grandstand 1.

The Grand Prix 5000 is flat, fast, wide and flawlessly smooth, perfect for a new Personal Best. Each of the 13 Grand Prix turns are engineered for high powered racing machines so you won’t need to worry about these turns slowing you down!

Participants will start at the Official Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix starting line in view of the downtown Detroit skyline. You’ll carve your way through turns 13 to 4 where you’ll meet our U-turn and run the course just as the drivers do. As you round turn 13 you’ll run down the straight-away and finish under the checkered flag.

Finishers will receive a custom finishers medal, a Centennial race series medallion, a full custom and sublimated racer singlet, race photography, chronotrack chip timing, and much much more!

The kid’s race is an untimed, quarter-mile run that finishes at the official Chevrolet Grand Prix Start/Finish line. Our little racers get a special race cape and pair of Grand Prix 5000 sunglasses so they can be just as cool as the big kids. Parents are welcome to join their little ones during the kid’s race.
