The Good Life Race is a road race through historic Oak Park, hosted by the Oak Park Runners Club for over 40 years.
The Good Life Race is a family-friendly event that draws from the greater Chicagoland area with a 5K, separate 1 Mile Youth Race (kids ages 5-12) and Junior Dash (5 and under).
The races start and finish at the Oak Park and River Forest High School. The course is flat, fast and USATF certified (#IL-17002-JW). The course is entirely within Oak Park, and it features a slightly downward sloping straight-away at the finish. There is one water station on the course across from Taylor Park, after Ridgeland Avenue before mile 2.
The 5K course has a time limit of 1 hour and 20 min, which is roughly equal to a 25-min per mile pace, or 2.4 miles per hour.

The Best 5K in Chicagoland!
My 5K PR! A nice, flat course with a gentle downhill finish. A great neighborhood to run through. The race is organized wonderfully. Highly recommend! MORE
