The Global Energy Race festival area at Phoenix Municipal Stadium will feature fun for everyone! The course will take you along Papago Park and Papago Golf Course, with stunning views of the famous Hole-In-The-Rock at Papago Park! After reaching the end of Galvin Parkway, 5K runners will return on the out and back course while 10K runners will connect with the Arizona Cross Cut Canal. Along the Canal, runners will pass by the Desert Botanical Gardens providing great scenic views.
Global Energy Race is for everyone: competitive runners, casual walkers, families, friends, and everyday joggers looking to come out and participate in Bimbo’s healthy, active lifestyle initiative. It is truly a global event; In 2016, Global Energy Race broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the most 10K races held simultaneously worldwide on the same day!
Bimbo Bakeries is also proud to partner with local area food banks during September (Hunger Awareness Month). For every kilometer completed by participants, 2 slices of bread will be donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank to support the local Phoenix community. Every step helps feed someone in need.

You feel so energetic that you take off running with a start! This course is scenic and it does have some hills that you will feel. It has earned its way to become one of my staple races.
