Ghost of Birch Bay Marathon and Mega-Half Marathon

The Ghost of Birch Bay Marathon and Mega-Half Marathon (15.1 mile) will start at 9:00am and finish at 2:00pm from Birch Bay State Park. The weather should be terrible so please plan accordingly! Beware of ice on the roads and drive carefully.

The Birch Bay Ghost Marathon is a frying pan loop where you run the handle out and two loops before returning to the start/finish. The distance is not certified but very close.

Birch Bay Ghost Mega-Half Marathon is a frying pan loop where you run the handle out and one loop before returning to the start/finish. Please note the half is 15.1 miles due to the loop nature of the course.

There will be two fixed aid stations. The start/finish line will be abandoned until the leader of the 15.1 mile option heads back. There is a major intersection at Harborview / Birch Bay Dr you pass twice before heading home.

At the finish line we will be serving burgers and hotdogs with vegetarian chili. There will be soda, chips, and chicken noodle soup among other goodies.
