Fresh Bite 5K & Citrus Stroll

The South Shore Food Bank, working in partnership with the Greater Boston Food Bank to improve food access on the South Shore, help address food equity across towns, and help make fresh options more readily available to families relying on food pantries to meet their needs, proudly announces the Fresh Bite 5K and Citrus Stroll, to benefit families across the South Shore who are battling food insecurity. 

The event will take place at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham. The race begins at 9:30 a.m. after time for yoga and registration from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. In addition to offering a 5K course for runners and walkers, the Citrus Stroll offers a treasure hunt for younger children and others looking to support the event, providing activities for the whole family.

The event aims to raise $30,000 to help alleviate food insecurity throughout the South Shore. In Massachusetts, one in three people are food insecure. Our Fresh Bite 5K and Citrus Stroll is a great way to get everyone involved in making life better for families on the South Shore. We’re very excited to provide an opportunity for our community to come together and raise support and awareness for food insecurity.
