The Frankfurt Half Marathon features a fast route in the South of Frankfurt, the start and finish are in the Commerzbank Arena. It’s the first Qualifying Race for the Rosbacher Main Race Cup.

Flat and fast course which has changed a lot within the last years. It‘s getting better and better and is perfect for PBs. Amazing atmosphere from km 6 to 13! Start and finish is at the beautiful stadium! Water and iso drinks are offered every 5k which is absolutely fine as weather in March is quite cool. Today it was sunny, but quite cold with like 5 degrees Celsius at the start. Since last year they also have a medal which has to be purchased extra when signing up! That’s the reason why it‘s not given to the runners immediately at the finish. Runners have to pick it up later in the refreshment zone. All in all a great event! A few years ago I couldn’t recommend Frankfurt Half, now I can!!! 👌

Frankfurt Half Marathon is getting better. This year they offered a medal for the first time! With the registration runners could choose a medal and pay an extra amount of 7 Euro. Many runners did so! The course is still the same – a bit boring. Only km 10-12 are good! But the course is flat and as weather conditions were perfect it‘s a good race for PBs.

Frankfurt Half Marathon is still not one of my favorite races, but this year´s race was better than expected. The course has been changed in terms of the direction which leads to the result that the harder part is at the beginning instead of at the end. Also the atmosphere is better. The course is flat and as weather conditions were almost perfect (cloudy and 10 degrees celsius with a little headwind from km 11-15) it was good for running pbs. Finishing in the huge soccer stadium was amazing. Unfortunately runners still don´t get a medal even though it´s one of the biggest half marathon events in Germany with 8500 registered runners.

Frankfurt Half Marathon has become quite popular. It´s the half marathon with the highest number of fast runners in Germany and more than 6000 participants take part in the race. The start is at the football stadium which is offers fantastic facilities for such an event. A huge buffet of cakes and sandwiches is offered to all runners (not for free). The course takes runners from the stadium to the river Main which is more or less in downtown and then back to the stadium. There is not a lot to see and the atmosphere is quite boring as only few people are cheering. At the beginning the course is very flat, but at the end it becomes a bit hilly which makes the second half of the race a bit harder. Unfortunately runners do not get a medal in the finish, but all runners get a certificate to download.

The Frankfurt Half Marathon is well organized by the local runners club Spiridon. Start is at the huge stadium called Commerzbank Arena. The atmosphere at the start is good. Unfortunately the course is not that beautiful except of the part at the river Main. The finish is in the stadium but it was sad that all runners had to leave the stadium immediately after crossing the finish line. All runners get a certificate, but no medal.

The Frankfurt half marathon is an event organized by the local running club Spiridon. The production is therefore low budget and runners do not get a medal. The course starts at a shopping mall north of Frankfurt and leads to downtown and back. The course has meanwhile changed!
