Catalina State Park Reverse the Course Trail Races

Southern Arizona’s Favorite Trail Race! Your race starts & finishes at the park trail head and travels the trails of this magnificent park, the April course in reverse. The 10.6 miler is two loops of the 5.3 mile course.

Your three trail course starts at the Catalina State Park trailhead and starts with the Birding Trail (counterclockwise), then off to the Canyon Loop (counterclockwise) and then to the Nature Trail (counterclockwise). This time you get to go down the “92 Stair Climb” and still up and down a bunch of stairs on the Birding Trail! Terrain consists of desert mountain trails and creeks, all with mostly moderate climbs and descents. Elevation ranges from 2799 to 3008 feet. 10.3 miler open only to runners.

Overall male/female & age group medals for all events, custom running shirt in tech or cotton, free race photos and our famous free Mexican breakfast.

Part of the proceeds of our event will go to the Friends of Catalina St. Park to help with damage done by the Bighorn Fire.
