English Half Marathon

The English Half Marathon takes in stunning landmarks such as The Halliwell Jones Stadium, The River of Life on Bridge Street and The Cultural Quarter, before the spectacular Golden Gates finish.

A magnet for club runners, Warrington is situated a convenient 30 minute drive from both Manchester and Liverpool. Although Warrington is vibrant and modern, it has a colourful past. Think the Romans, Medieval Market Places and Oliver Cromwell.

The Half Marathon and 10K starts on Winmarleigh Street with the Town Hall and Golden Gates as a backdrop. The route travels over Bridge Foot before the Half Marathon takes in aspects of the previous route in South Warrington. The route then heads back into the town centre, taking in landmarks such as The Halliwell Jones Stadium, The Guardians (or skittles) at Market Gate, The River of Life on Bridge Street and The Cultural Quarter, before heading back up Winmarleigh Street and finishing through the Golden Gates at the Town Hall.

Every runner will receive a medal, t-shirt and goodies at the finish line. Runners and spectators will also have access to a special event village with a food festival, live music and so much more!
