The Cypress Half Marathon course will start and finish at Cy Woods High School. Robinson Road and Woods-Spillane Blvd. will be open to traffic going in both directions. The road south of Robinson will be closed going westbound but the eastbound entrance from Skinner will be open to facilitate race morning traffic. Please obey all directions given by police, volunteers, and race crew to ensure a great race experience for everyone.
The Cypress Half Marathon is part of the Bayou City Half Marathon Series, Houston’s only half marathon series. Doing a half marathon is all the rage these days, but we believe it’s more than that. Half marathons are not only monumental goals but they are sustainable distances one can train for over an entire season and race multiple times with less injury, fatigue and burnout than a full marathon. All half marathons in the Bayou City Half Marathon Series are accompanied by both a 5k and Kids K event to engage and attract families and runners of all ages and levels. Whether you choose to run one or all of the events in the series, we know you’ll enjoy being part of a fun, well organized, memorable quality event helping to grow health and wellness in and around the Houston Area.

One aid station ran out of water , there’s only one camera man so those expecting free pics it’s not guaranteed. The swag is mediocre the medal is mediocre. I only ran this race because the date is sentimental to me but as a personal choice it’s a below average race standard comparing to Sugarland Half and Houston Half . 👎👎

Decent Swag this year. The course has been the same all 3 years of the race through the NW Houston suburbs of Fairfield. I will continue to run the race in the future, since it is nice and close to where I live, has plenty of parking at the HS and I liked that the post race area was in the high school cafeteria.
Well run inaugural race
