Rockaway Beach Triathlon & Duathlon

The Rockaway Beach Triathlon & Duathlon by NYTRI features a .25 mile swim (1.5 mile run for du), 12 mile bike ride and 3 mile run.

TRI/SWIM COURSE: The 1/4-mile swim will take place parallel to the beach. Swimmers will exit the water near the jetty at B 94th Street and will run across the beach to the transition area. The swim will be in waves of 50. Competitors will swim at 30 seconds apart.

DU/RUN: Duathletes will start on the boardwalk opposite B 94th Street and will run 3/4 mile before turning around at the Rockaway Beach Playground (74th Street) to return to the transition area.

The bike course of 12 miles is 2 loops on the boardwalk. Bike on the boardwalk to B27th Street before turning around. Head back to B94th Street Transition Area. Turn around again and head back to B27th Street. Return to transition area for a total of 12 miles.

The final run course of 3 miles is also an out and back. Start on the boardwalk opposite the transition area at B 95th Street Promenade. Run 1.5 miles west on the boardwalk. Turn around at B123rd Street and run back to the finish line.

The field will be limited to the first 200 competitors.
