Cal Tri Charlottesville

Women & young women ages 7+ are invited to race the Cal Tri Charlottesville at Fry’s Spring Beach Club in Charlottesville on Labor Day Weekend. This is the perfect beginner race for athletes who are tri-curious but are still gaining confidence in open water. For those athletes who want no swimming, the duathlon (run/bike/run) is a great option. This family friendly, community event welcomes family and friends to cheer these great athletes from start to finish!

*** THIS RACE IS ONLY FOR WOMEN & YOUNG WOMEN AGES 7+. ***

Sprint triathlon athletes start with a 350 meter seeded, rolling start pool swim followed by a rolling 12.7 mile bike ride with 1100’ of elevation before finishing up with a fast and relatively flat 5K. Duathletes start with a fast & flat 1 mile run to spread out the athletes and then ride the previously described 11.6 mile bike course and 5K run.

Event options include: 7 Sprint distance events (Triathlon, Triathlon Relay, RunBikeRun, SwimBike, SwimRun, 400 yard Swim & 5K Run). There is something for everyone!
