Butte Tap’er Light 1/2 Marathon & 10K

THE Butte Tap ‘er Light 1/2 Marathon & 10K is the RRCA’s 2021 State Championship Race!

From an 1860’s mining camp to a bustling city with street cars and copper kings, the history of Butte is as wild and colorful as that of any western American city. Called the “Richest Hill on Earth” Butte was once the world’s largest supplier of copper and has over 10,000 miles of tunnels running beneath the city. Miners came from around the world including countries like China, Serbia, Italy, England, and Ireland. Butte still has the largest number of Irish Catholics per capita. Irish traditions still dominate Butte’s culture. Join us this July to celebrate the history, the culture, and the Irish heritage of Butte, Montana.

The Butte “Tap ‘er Light” 1/2 marathon will descend the “Richest Hill on Earth” while passing the cities most iconic landmarks, mines, brothels, bars, and other cool buildings!

Course is well marked with orange cones, Wolf Pack Running signs, Irish flags, unicorns, leprechauns, and flamingos! Full aid stations (Hammer Nutrition products, fruit, potato chips, pickles, and more!) at mile 3, 6, and 8.5.

Registration includes a custom race tri-blend t-shirt, custom race bib, custom race sticker, Hammer Nutrition race cup filled with product, and free craft beer at the finish!
