A varied mix of culture, nature and a “run through the city” is offered on the Baden Marathon route. Two largely different rounds are run here. Only on the last approx. 8 kilometers are the marathoners running sections of the half marathon – attractive from the city center to the finish – happening twice. The half marathon course is flat and fast to run. It leads past the Karlsruhe Palace and passes central parts of the city center as well as the City Park Ost, which is well worth seeing.

As usual, the atmospheric destination with plenty of runners in “Runner’s Heaven” can be found in the Carl-Kaufmann Stadium. As a special feature, half and marathon runners can be accompanied by their personal marathon angel over the last 6 kilometers to the finish. This opportunity, which is unique in Germany, can be used by all marathon and half-marathon participants.
