The Apple Hill Harvest Run will be hosted at the Lava Cap Winery in Placerville, the heart of the Sierra foothills, where all of the festivities begin and end.
The course winds through the scenic neighborhoods and fruit ranches of Apple Hill along moderately undulating paved roads. The 8.25-mile event includes nearly 2.5 miles through beautiful Apple Mountain Golf Complex. No bikes, pets or roller blades, please. Participants with baby strollers/joggers are requested to start in the back and stay to the left of the other runners.
Course Time Limit: Our event permit allows us to utilize the beautiful roads of Apple Hill from 8:35am to 11:00am. This should allow plenty of time for everyone to comfortably finish the 3 mile run/walk event. The more challenging 9-mile event is designed as a run and requires each participant to maintain a 17 minute/mile pace or faster. For the safety of our participants and the residents of Apple Hill, the CHP has instructed us to provide a sag wagon for those participants not able to maintain this 17 min/mile pace. We will provide a ride back to the finish for those participants who fail to reach the 5-mile mark by 1 hour and 25 minutes.
All proceeds of the Apple Hill Harvest Run events directly benefit all Camino students.

This is a tough 9 mile run, but the scenery, bling and weather make it worth while. It has some pretty steep inclines so be prepared. The area through the golf course is quite lovely. There is a crazy steep hill in the golf area. Great packet pick up as well. It’s a fun time, definitely add to your list to run.

Beautiful course with a killer hill on mile 4-5 through a Golf Course. Ample parking with shuttle buses that made sure you are at the start on time. The Volunteers were very cheerful and Polite, they did an outstanding job in directing me through this course. Really cool setting at the Finish line. If you like hills, this course is for you and I really hope they keep this same course for next year. I’m not a hill runner and usually run in the lower elevations (below 3600 feet), but truly Love this Race as it tested my endurance to the max.
