6 Lakes Marathon (6 sjöar)

The name of the race “6 sjöar” – six lakes – is obvious: all distances encircles lakes, the marathon encircles all six lakes. It is an unique event and an opportunity to enjoy Swedish landscape with your running shoes on.

The location of the event, Fjällnora, is an isthmus between two of the lakes. Here you will find the most popular beach around Uppsala. The lakes east of Uppsala make up for the magic combination of 5, 10, 21 and 42 kilometres. And what is more nice than running around a lake, and then finishing with a jump right in the blue?

The marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k start and finish in Fjällnora by the lake Trehörningen. The 5k encircles the lake Ramsen, with exciting forest trails and lovely lake views. The marathon, half marathon and 10K are mostly flat. These three courses shows you a typical Swedish landscape, dominated by forests. You will run mostly on quaint gravel roads with some brief forest trails and asphalt.
