I have run KC marathon before, and both times it went very smoothly. I really liked the new course, fewer hills, and no more 2-3 mile uphill climbs. The downhill finish was OK, doesn’t really matter to me as long as it is not an uphill. Police and volunteers did a great job directing traffic and running aid stations. Only complaint was that the race shirt was a bit lame. I would rather have had a quarter zip thermal or long-sleeve tech shirt than a long-sleeve hoodie made of t-shirt material.
