We signed up for the Quad – 5K and Half Grand Teton and 5K and Half Yellowstone and picked up another Half in Idaho in between with Bear Lake. Vacation Races puts on a first class event! The communication is the best I’ve seen in the industry! Expo had lots of good Vacation Races Stuff for purchase and was very organized – We volunteered to earn credits for a future race and really enjoyed! The weather for 5K was cold – Half it was predicted to storm but it held off until after the race! Plenty of water, port o lets, oranges, along the race route. Medals were Beautiful, and we could pick an extra swag we choice a Beach Hoodie – Very Nice!

I’ve never received so much swag and witnessed such Amazing Crowd Support in the pouring rain – it brought tears to my eyes – they were Awesome! We combined Flying Pig with Kentucky Derby Mini, Indy Mini and Flying Pig! Stayed at the Hyatt (host hotel) and the start, finish and packet pick up were all within walking distance. The Expo was Huge and Lots of Swag! It’s a hilly course and what they say about Eden is Very True – It’s a Big Hill! It rained the entire time but the crowd never left – they stayed out and cheered until the last runner finished – Fantastic Race!!

We paired this with Kentucky Derby Mini Marathon (weekend before) and Flying Pig (day before). We stayed at JW Marriott and when we arrived it seemed everyone in the race was arriving and trying to park so we went across the street to the parking garage also across from packet pick up. It was cheaper and we were in the hotel in no time. Very convenient to start and finish! Expo was bigger than I expected and everything was in your bag – Hat, T-Shirt, Bib and Pins – Nice hat and Long Sleeve Shirt. Weather was beautiful, good crowd support along the race, plenty of water and Gatorade along the course. After race snacks were plentiful and the party looked nice with a band. We couldn’t stay and enjoy because we had to head to Ohio for Flying PIg and check in our Hotel.

Planned this race a year in advance and partnered with Indy 500 and Flying Pig the following weekend. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Louisville. Across from KFC Yum Center – did not rent a car – packet pick up changed – read your emails – I missed – A nice couple drove us to packet pick up. We received a Shirt and Bib – Shirt was nice – we took an uber the following day to spend time at expo. Day of race we walked to start and were able to walk back to our hotel. In the morning the hotel had goodie bags for all the runners – very nice of them! Lot’s to do in the area – We chose this race for the course going into Church Hill Downs! Our only disappointment was our gps tracked 13.43 Miles – And others were running on the side of us were saying the same??

We came in on Friday and Stayed at Luxury RV Resort a few blocks from The Hang Out – everything was in walking distance. We rode our bikes to packet pick up. Very impressed with the shirts – We did the Dolphin Challenge – 7K on Saturday Short Sleeve Shirt and Half Marathon on Sunday Long Sleeve Shirt. We received 3 Medals for the Challenge. 7K was out and back on the Gopher Tortoise Trail and The Half ran through the Gulf Shores State Park – Beautiful. The after party was loads of fun at The Hang Out – Great Food, Entertainment and Band! Kudo’s to The Beast Pacers they did an Amazing Job!

We were originally doing Savannah, Georgia that race was cancelled and we chose San Jose. Weather was Gorgeous! The race started late and it was seemed to get colder. First corral was supposed to take off at 8am and I think it was about 20 minutes late. Our corral finally took off around 8:45am. Plenty of water stations and crowd support along the route. We stayed at the Signia Hilton and was absolutely perfect to walk to start of 5K and Half Marathon and end of both races. The after race events were right in front of our hotel! Great restaurants in walking distance. We took an uber to San Francisco one day to visit Pier 39 and Alcatraz. It was a great trip to complete State #8

Our son was a patient of St Jude Children’s Hospital and this race was a must for our Family. It was cold and had a delayed start due to forecast of ice and snow. We ran around St Jude Children’s Hospital and the patients were along the sides holding signs and thanking us – I cried and hugged and took lots of picture’s!! I’m from Louisiana and NOLA is only 2 hours away. The roads/course is beat up so you need to be careful and look down often! The course brings you to some historical places, you run behind the Farmers Market and around the French Quarter. Used to Love running RNR Races but the lack of communication if frustrating and makes it difficult to plan for Accommodations
