Small trail race in Lakeville’s Ritter Park. Several distances to include a 5K CanineCross division where you can run with your dog! I ran the 10 miler. Lots of rolling hills. Great race production with postrace pancake breakfast included.

Overall a great race. Small race. Beautiful, flat course with shade throughout. Good race production and it is a good course to PR on if that is your goal. Cool this time of year. Conditions were ideal the day we ran. Nice medal but place finishes only receive a pin. Would have enjoyed a post race party but there wasn’t much happening after the race. All in all it was a great experience and served its purpose for a spring break get away and Boston tune up. A lot to do in Savannah and/ or Hilton Head.

My all-time favorite race! Always very well organized. Great course from Minneapolis to St. Paul along the Mississippi and then along mansion lines Summit Ave. Great post race party and then there is always plenty of time to walk back down Summit to catch the leaders for the marathon. After that head to the Liffey for a cold one!

One of my favorite locations to run the trails…Hyland Park Reserve in Bloomington. Well groomed trails, sections of which are all wood chips. Laid back atmosphere with a nice post race party and raffle for running related give aways. Four races in the series. Beautiful time of the year in a beautiful park. Some good local competition as well if you feel like competing.

One of my favorite locations to run the trails…Hyland Park Reserve in Bloomington. Well groomed trails, sections of which are all wood chips. Laid back atmosphere with a nice post race party and raffle for running related give aways. Four races in the series. Beautiful time of the year in a beautiful park. Some good local competition as well if you feel like competing. This one was only a few days after the Big CottonWood Marathon, so it was slow, but good!

Toughest marathon I have ever run! I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but I way underestimated the slope and the pounding on my quads. I thought I was in decent enough shape to handle it and in fact wanted to qualify for Boston. The truth started to reveal itself early on at 7 miles when I felt my quads begin to ache and I knew this was going to be an “ok, I’ll settle for just finishing.” By 13 miles I was considering dropping out altogether. My quads were literrally shot. I talked myself into just maintaining what little I had, slowing down as much as possible, and trying to take in the scenery. The constant pounding was torture. With a lot of walking the last 6 miles I managed to finish. Lesson learned…respect the slope! Very nice post race party. Weather is awesome. People are great! Free photos too.

Nice small summer run, but plan on some serious heat this time of the year. Well organized with a very nice post race party. The scenery is also nice running through the outskirts of Stillwater, MN. I originally thought this race was sponsored by Liftbridge Brewery, and was looking forward to a cold one after the race, but I was wrong. It might be a nice touch though.

Booked through Marathon Tours VIP Package. Worth every penny. This is a great destination race. Destination races did a great job and really took care of the VIPs. VIP Wine Tours and pre-race meal was amazing. Very memorable experience. Also spent a day in San Francisco, so plan your stay to allow a little extra time to see the sites. We stayed and the Inn at the Presidio, spent a Day at Muir Woods (also amazing) and toured a little of San Fran. We love this city!

The Endless Summer Trail Series is one of my favorite race series of the summer. Rock Steady Running does a great job putting these on and has done so for the last several years. Lebanon Hills is less than a mile from my house so I know the trails well. They call this park the Boundary Waters of the south. I usually sign up to run all 5 races in the series. A great summer pastime. Best post race party! Great weekday trail race event!

This is a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. New course this year was a lot easier. While I have not run the old course, I have biked it. They changed the finish line location which was a little disappointing. The race used to finish on the Stone Arch Bridge which was a great drop back for photos.

Been doing this race series for years. French is a pretty hilly course. I usually sign up to run all 5 races in the series. A great summer pastime. Best post race party! Awesome race!. Most of it was run on the bike trail in Stillwater. We were bussed out to the start. Last 3 miles were on the roads leading into Stillwater and there were some pretty good hills. First 10 miles nice and flat, very shaded and rather fast.

An awesome experience overall. The most beautiful course I have ever run. Great race organization save for the minor registration confusion in the beginning with my girlfriend who did B2B. We ran into one rude guy too who actually had the nerve to question whether or not she actually did Boston. But all the other people, volunteers, race expo, transportation etc… was great.

This race used to be called 100% Irish. Of course there was an Irish Theme. Not sure why they changed it. Still a good run with a post race Finnegans Beer and of course some Minnesota Hot Dish. A good race to welcome spring but I have to admit I miss the Irish theme.

Personally, I would not do this one again. They do have the organization down to a science though. Great family race!

This is a great way to see the Hoover Dam and Lake Meade. Beautiful course run during the right time of year for that area of the country. For us it was an opportunity to thaw as well coming from Minnesota. Make sure you make time to see Vegas. Not many hotels near the race start but when we ran it in 2013 race organizers shuttled runners from Vegas. We stayed near Lake Mead (Boulder City) for ease in getting to the start and then spent a night in Vegas. We had a great time!
