A beautiful course, not terribly difficult and, like all Vacation Races events, an awesome medal and t-shirt! The race expo is fun and sets you up for an all-around great weekend. The start line is a bit of a hassle as there is no drop-off point, all runners have to be shuttled in. The finish line seemed a bit disorganized – it was hard hard to find race results and gear check items. Everything else more than made up for those issues, though, and I would definitely run it again.

This was a perfect first marathon – flat course, not a huge crowd to try and navigate through, and the most beautiful setting possible! Aid stations were a little understocked – fruit was gone from the last few stations when I got to them but the expo was well organized. Overall, a good race experience.

I’d run this race every year if I could! Vacation Races does a great job with communication, organization, and choosing locations that are breathtakingly beautiful. The campground expo was fun and the NPS Centennial medal was really cool – a nice addition to my medal collection.
