A mostly flat course with a few rolling hills. Very well produced. Lots of volunteers working the aid stations along the route. Plenty of water, electrolytes, and some stations had Gu gels. Plenty of people along the route cheering, and what looked like some serious marathon house parties/bbq’s. A very well stocked finishers area with water, chocolate milk, fruit, nutrition bars. A free beer and pizza as you exited, and the option to buy more. The only negative was a surprisingly small expo. I expected a lot more vendors for a marathon of this size. But overall, I do reccomend this race!

Bib pickup was a very easy process. They even have volunteers to verify your bib chip is working and properly assigned to you. Plenty of vendors and giveaways at the expo. I just don’t like that you have to pay for parking 😡. Race morning went very smoothly, boarded buses at the finish area out to Minneapolis after a short wait. Music, entertainment, and plenty of porta John’s all around the start area. Bag check was done by corral assignment= a very good idea. Plenty of refreshments at the finish line, and I went right to the beer garden. Hotels downtown are pretty expensive. My group stayed in Eagan. Much cheaper hotel prices. Drove to State Capital finish area, plenty of free parking on race morning.

This was the fourth Revel race i have run, this company really knows how to run an event. Everything ran so smoothly. The expo, busing to the start, then busing back to the parking area. There was plenty of support on the course. Going to Coach Pauls lecture before the run is highly reccomended! I am hoping they add a few new locations to their race calendar.

I was surprised that this is a small field of runners for the full marathon, considering it is run in conjunction with the Nebraska State Fair. I very nice long sleeve tech shirt. 1 vendor at packet pickup with the essentials, in case you forgot to bring something. I do recommend you bring everything you need for a long run (gels, nutrition, etc), as it is a packet pickup and not a runners expo. The race director was so very nice and thanked my group for traveling so far to participate in her race. Hot weather became an issue (projected race day temps reaching 94°), and all registered participants were kept up to date with informative emails and given several options if they weren’t comfortable running in the heat. The course was well staffed with happy/cheering volunteers. Plenty of water/aid stations. Lots of local residents offering water and fruit along the route. I even had a couple of people on gator carts drive up to me and offer cold water. The course was well marked, plenty of Grand Island Police directing traffic and keeping the runners safe. I highly recommend this race if you want to do a Nebraska Marathon. Plus, you get free admission to the state Fair after the race.

This is one of the best small races I have done. 63 Full marathoners, and 180 half marathoners. Possibly some of the local residents stayed home as it poured for the entire race. But that is out of anyone’s control. The race course runs along the shoulder of Douglas Highway for pretty much the entire race, with Juneau Harbor on one side, and the woods of Douglas Island on the other side. Plenty of aid stations manned by the high school track team. All the volunteers were cheering, happy, and helpfull despite standing in the rain for hours. No real traffic issues as the only street crossing is as you exit then return to Savikko Park. The after party had really nice food. Lots of cold cut sandwiches, delicious garlic pickles, pickle juice, cookies, soda, and hot beverages. I brought my own beer. 😉 The race director walked around talking to as many runners as possible, and wanted production feedback.

There is a big hill at mile 13! But that said this was a fun, very well organized race. A small expo, but pretty much any last minute items you might need for the race. Race morning was very organized, getting us on our bus ride ot to the start in Frenchville. A really nice fireworks display at the race start. Plenty of water and electrolytes on the route. Gu energy gels were available, i bring my own. Not much of an afterparty, but there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of the finish, and a community farmers market in the adjoining parking lot. Huckleberry products everywhere!

This is my third revel race. They really know how to run a race. The logistics with busing, parking, post race are all so well organized. This is the first revel race I did where they did not use coach buses to transport runners, they used yellow school buses. Not the end of the world, but no bathroom on the yellow busses. Plenty of portajohns at the start, a long the course, and at finish. Plenty of water stations, but could have used a few more volunteers to assist at water/aid stations.

This was my second Revel race, i ran Big Bear in 2023. The Revel company really knows how t run an event. The logistics of moving every one to the full start, went flawlessly. Plenty of water stops along the route, gels offered too. The race start temp at the top of Mt Charleston was 22 degrees, they had propane heaters to keep us warm as we waited to start. The Expo was fun, plenty of running related vendors. The finish festival had vendors offering massages, etc. This is an event you can truly PR, unfortunately for me i was nursing a sore hamstring that killed my time.

This was a really fun and well organized small field race, and a very good choice if you want to run a marathon in New Mexico. Easy to fly into either El Paso or Las Cruces. Plenty of hotels in the race area, and there are some absolutely great Mexican restaurants in Las Cruces. Cold start to the race 34 deg, but temps go up at least 20-25 degrees as the sun rises. Race goes along a paved trail along the Rio Grande, the paved roadway winding thru the Pecan fields. Plenty of police to keep runners safe, and lots of water/gatorade stations along the course. Shane, the race director greeted us at bib pickup and clearly takes pride in running this event.

The City of Rehoboth Beach is like something you would see on a postcard. A beautiful beachfront area loaded with small shops and restaurants, and plenty of parklands which are used for the marathon. The running surfaces included paved roads, wooden boardwalk, gravel trail, and a aluminum diamond plate type surface thru one section of the parkland. All very safe and very scenic. At one point the marathon passes thru an old military base, with restored barracks and i am sure a lot of history. The weather was cooler (in the 50’s) but with torrential rain the night before, the humidity level was very high. Plenty of water and electrolyte stations, i saw volunteers handing out Gu gels, i bring my own. Plenty of volunteers to point out the correct turns along the course, lots of medical staff if needed. The finish had a very nice buffet, and plenty of Dogfish Head beer under a large tent. Music was great, and definitely one of the better after parties i have been to.

This is definitely a race you can PR and/or BQ. It is Downhill for most of the course. Plenty of aid stations, well organized event from expo, to buses, parking, post race shuttles. The only thing missing, for me, was live music at the finish area. Water stations every 2 miles. I bring my own Gels, but plenty of GU being handed out along with fruit. The Mountain scenery so amazing you will be tempted to take pictures all along the course, especially as the sun rises. The Expo was small, but it had everything relevant to a marathon that you may have forgotten if traveling. This was my first Revel race, I will be going to more. If this is how efficiently all their events are, I can’t wait for the next one.

The scenery as you run two loops around Lake Monona was excellent! The weather did not cooperate at all, Temps went into the high 80’s forcing many full marathoners to drop at at the half. Full marathoners did their best to finish upright. I know many logistics are involved, but with those temps in the forecast, an earlier start would have helped tremendously. Plenty of beer and snacks at the finish, with a live band too. Maybe add in some food trucks for runners and friends to purchase some more substantial post race food.

This is more than jus a race. It is a weekend party. The city of nashville can best be described as party central. so may restaurants and bars to visit before and after the race. The event itself is very well organized. Plenty of water stations, gels, 2 biofreeze stations. Plus plenty of local residents giving water, beer, fruit, shots to runners as they pass bye. Route definitely had more hills than most runners anticipated. It was a nice challenge

Only the 2nd year of this race, but very well organized. I see it growing into a major event over time. The coast guard members stationed in Elizabeth city are all involved in the production of this race. Those who aren’t, ran in it. Constant flyover by coast guard aircraft.Demos all day. Nice after party with food, health services, a talking boat to entertain the kids. The expo was good, but could use more running related vendors. The only real negative of the day was running in 32 mph winds. That was out of race organizers control, the running gods laughed at us as we ran across the runways leaning forward to counter the winds. I would do this race again.
