Aid stations very well stocked, awesome finding the best (for me) hydration fluid “Nuun”. Not all volunteers excel at the water stations, they just do the minimum and don’t consider the runners effort to get fluids in and don’t make it easy. It would be better to split the station on both sides of the road to avoid congestion, Volunteers handling out cups more spread away.
On the dark side to improve, transportation from McDonals to the start line when is less than one mile away is worthless, I think we, runners, don’t need it. It was more waste of time for everybody and waste of resources for the CIM organization. I do usually walk or run to get to the start line (if I’m closed enough, or roads are close) around 1 to 2 miles, it’s my warm up.
Very bad traffic to get to the relay exchange because you can’t make it if you are not coming from the north side of the course, or, get up very early to go to Convention Center and take the shuttle…there should be another easier way.
Please make sure the finish line area is clear, this year there was a crane and the Christmas tree wasn’t up ready….that adds more chaos.
