I loved this half so much. Despite terrible weather conditions like crossing a bridge with thunder and lightning followed by buckets of rain
I achieved a PR! My only complaints were the communication from race marshals to the runners through downtown. There were lots of runners sheltering in garages but it was very unclear what was happening as they shouted, “the race is black flagged and cancelled.” Glad I kept going and can only imagine my time when I run this again next year. I look forward to the views, crowd support, aid stations, energy and after party next year because I will be back!

Lots of participants and a great way to see the city up close. A negative for half-marathoners is the 10k racers break off and it is a bit disheartening to see them turning around. The after race refreshments are super with food and several adult beverages!
