Gear check is in the AM and is really congested. Bring your own bag and check for shorter lines to speed things up. May need to hop fence to get into corral since they were closed but no race coordinators to assist. Once on the course, the race was beautiful, aid stations were helpful and evenly spaced, and easy to navigate around people.

Do not sleep on this race. Yes the hype is worth it. Wine along the course is fun, but even beyond that it is incredibly beautiful, the rolling hills make for an easy run, and the support at the end is stellar! Once you finish, the wine festival in Sonoma is a total blast with runners and non-runners enjoying the wine and sunshine. Book your hotel far in advance but definitely worth the planning!
