The SWAG is awesome, the medals are always Western themed. The Staff and volunteers do an excellent job. You pretty much run a tour of the City of “Cowtown “. The folks line up the streets cheering you on, there are some encouraging and hilarious signs for the runners. Who needs headphones when there are numerous bands and DJ’s jamming or spinning the tunes along the way. You run through the Historic Stockyards on cobblestone brick where cattle once roamed through. There is the Main Street bridge with a long steady incline that leads you directly into town to the old Courthouse. There is so much more to applaud the Cowtown Marathon, this is just a smidgen. You’ll be proud to say that you ran “Cowtown”.
