This is the best race hands down. I keep trying other races and being disappointed because they don’t live up to the Pig. Amazing crowd support, organization, views from the course. I can’t think of a single negative, except maybe those pesky hills. I’ve participated since 2013 and will be back next year.

The course is flat and fast which is a nice change from the Cincinnati races I normally run. The patient champions are also a really cool and motivating aspect. Swag is non-existent. I feel bad complaining since the money goes to a children’s hospital, but all you get is a shirt and medal. I’ve run 5Ks with better packets. Plus I can’t wear my shirt from either of the two races I’ve run due to crazy inconsistent sizing and their refusal to allow exchanges.

I ran the inaugural race in 2014 and had a great time! Anything put on by the Pig people is guaranteed to be well organized and fun. I have skipped the Bee for the last two years to run Columbus instead (nothing against the Queen Bee, I just wanted to try a little flatter, faster course) and immediately regretted it. I’ll be returning to the Queen Bee in 2017 and can’t wait!
