Vacation Races knows how to put on an event! The volunteers are just wonderful and so helpful. The scenery along the course…..AMAZING! You get to meet so many interesting people from across the United States. I love the T-shirts and the medals are epic and BIG!! Then if you’re lucky enough to place, you get another BIG medal to add to your collection. Vacation Races, you are the BEST!!!

What a spectacular event!!! Support was great! Scenery was beyond words! First 5 miles are tough, gaining more that 900 feet in elevation, then it was basically downhill except for a few rolling hills. It is a big climb! Total gain 1, 230 ft. Then you have Glacier National Park to explore. Loved this race!! It is one for the books! Its crazy awesome!!!

They probably will return the race course to the west side of Zion for next year, this road part trail run was very scenic but because of the recent snow and rain, it was muddy and difficult in some spots plus rocky and hilly. As always the volunteers are amazing and the staff at VR keep you updated up to the start of the race with any changes or important info about the race. I love running the VR races and am looking forward to Glacier. National Parks are the gems of the US and I feel so privileged to run close to such wonderful places, thank you VR!!!!

Well organized race, the course is all downhill, gradual, you finish at the State capitol of Texas! I had always wanted to do this race, so glad I finally did! If you plan on doing this race, I recommend you stay in a hotel close to the start line, you get to sleep in and there is a shuttle that takes you back to the start after you finish. Enjoy Austin !!!

Would recommend this race to everyone that loves nature, friendly people, awesome destinations and running with people from all over the world!! The organizers are a great bunch of people who’s main concern is the safety and enjoyment/satisfaction of their runners. My goal is to run all the VR races, my husband and I love the national parks and I love to finish the race and get my medal handed to me by my husband/volunteer at the finish line!

Rocky Mountain is a spectacular National Park! During the run, you are surrounded by beautiful vistas, mile 9 gives you an awesome view of Long’s Peak, it is just stunning. VR knows how to put on a race. I encourage you to do all the VR races!!!
