I’d strongly recommend this race to anyone who wants a fun little race to try out. You’ll start off at the Craneway Pavilion and go straight down and back up the Bay Trail, with a turnaround point at Albany Beach. Brazen Racing runs this, so I already knew they’d do a good job with it. The only issue is that aid stations were weirdly distributed. There were 2 aid stations within the first/last 3-4 miles, and then 1 at the turnaround point. Granted, this is still only a half, so you won’t need as much hydration, but it would’ve been nice to have some extra aid stations along the way.
Also, just one more thing to keep in account while racing – weather (it gets quite windy). I’ve run the Bay Trail a good amount, and I’ve definitely been staggered back by very strong winds. You’ve gotta watch out for that stuff.

Race course started off at the Old Courthouse Square, took us along the Santa Rosa creek trail, and right through a winery! It was honestly such a really cool experience!
It’s a very easy race – perfect for any first timers like me or people who want to set a new PR. I definitely found it to be much easier in terms of terrain compared to many of my training runs.
Aid stations were also really well-distributed, and it was clear that the race organizers were really taking care of all the participants! Only real issue is that running through farmland means sometimes there can be traffic going through the race course itself, but luckily any such interruptions were handled smoothly.
