Unique experience in that there are cabins with bunks you can rent cheaply right at the start/finish line making it the best aid station for those running multiple loops. Running through the pines, creeks, and along the lake made for beautiful scenery for the loop. Course was well marked, lots of homemade food, camp at the start/finish, cool black shirt, amazing volunteers and aid stations, plenty of permanent and portable toilets. I loved every moment and everything about this race.

A very well-organized, large, beautiful, and fun race with the most amazing volunteers and supporters ever! This city route through KC’s most historical and beautiful landmarks is a can’t miss. Great free music, food, beer, and swag, loved every minute of the half marathon so I decided to make the 2019 event my first-ever marathon.
