2021 was my 3rd year on the Queen Bee. I was a bit nervous about the combo with Flying Pig, but I was impressed how the race organizers adapted to COVID circumstances. My packet was missing from the box, but the desk was able to confirm my registration and quickly fix the issue.
2021 Queen Bee Half Marathon was full of awesomeness! The race organizers approved my request/medical documentation for Akira to run as my support dog. (Regardless of training and preparations, unexpected MS flare ups may occur mid-race. Which they did, but all the training with Akira kept us stepping successfully to the finish. #msawareness )
I was also surrounded by family and friends. Encouraging words, clearing paths, creating signs, wearing flamingo costumes, and keeping me laughing all the way through. Bee-lieving in me!
We had a lot of fun along the course and truly appreciated the race organizers, volunteers, family and friends.
