The course is great. It starts out with some pretty scenery, you get a grand piano performance around mile 3, the volunteers are oh so good, people sit outside their homes to cheer you on, there are frequent aid stations and porta-potties, and there are a ton of people there to cheer you across the finish line. The expo is fun, it was pretty efficient to pick up your bibs and shirts. All in all a fun event and a nice course.

I love this race. I’ve ran it numerous times and can’t recommend it enough. Even though I was a volunteer for this race due to an injury, it was still so much fun. The full and half join around miles 3/16. The neighborhoods get involved and their is a grand piano being played, kids set up bands and music. Some area have sprinklers out, hand out treats, etc. It really is a community events.

The race and race weekend is so much fun. After two years of virtual, it was a blast to run in person on one of my favorite courses. The town gets involved and are out to cheer, a guy brings out his baby grand piano to play for the runners, and sprinklers are set up that you can run under. Running through a good part of the town makes it fun too. The weather was cool and crisp before it became quite sunny and warm. During the weekend, there is also beer run 5k on Friday evening, a Saturday morning 5k, and children’s marathon. While my performance could have been better, that was all me and not the course.
