This course has just enough elevation change to keep it interesting but not difficult. I love all the folks out cheering and offering libations all along the way. Beautiful finish with the state capitol just past the finish line. The finisher festival is amazing! Plenty to eat and drink in a beautiful setting with live music. This is not a race you complete and then leave. You’ll want to stay for hours and enjoy it all!

Communication was excellent and clear. The course was well marked with frequent water/Powerade and portalet stops. The route goes through a beautiful park, along Lake Pontchartrain, through neighborhoods and then returns to park with a fabulous after party. The shrimp and pulled pork sliders along with a great assortment of beer really hit the spot. The band was terrific. Lots of room to hang out and plenty of signage to take fun pictures. Free race photo arrived the day after the race: nice bonus!

This race was so well organized from registration, expo, and start to finish. The altitude and hills were tough for a flat lander, it not so hard I wanted to quit. The mountains, lake and meadows were breathtaking. The free photos were great! I can’t wait to run it again next year!
