Miami Marathon & Half Marathon
Race with lots of international spirit

Weather is out of race director's control but it was COLD at 6 am for race start. Not typical for Miami so many ere not prepared. The 6 am start … MORE
Weather is out of race director’s control but it was COLD at 6 am for race start. Not typical for Miami so many ere not prepared. The 6 am start time was new this year to accommodate the marathon runners and avoid some heat but it’s too early. Also there was a course change that made the course less scenic. Too much congestion at the finish to get your medal and the bag check area was too far away from the finish and in the opposite direction of the post run festivities. Not so gratifying a race this year compared to 2 years ago. I would recommend starting the marathoners at 6 am and the half marathoners at 7. Need more volunteers for the water stations. Would only recommend if changes are made to the course and start time. Very large field so would not recommend if you do not want a big, flashy race.
