There is about 500 ft of elevation gain with a bridge a little over 1/4 mile with a little over 4% grade. Not that hard, but it mostly flat as the race claims.
I pushed my handicap daughter . Good race.

Awesome course support. There were gels in about four places. There were other fueling options too. Lots more people cheering than I anticipated. Nice long sleeve performance shirt. Post race food was a little light. Course is a little hilly, but not bad.

Nice tank top. Nothing else for swag. Nothing at the expo except for one small store with two bookshelves of shoes, two cloths racks, some socks, and fuel. There are a couple of 3.5% grade hills.the down hills make up for it though. At one point the 5k meets up with the half. Not thrilled about a sudden big crowd to navigate through. The medal is ok. Never sure why the 5k and half shirts and medals are the same. There is a price difference, I think the shirts and/or metals should be race specific. The worst thing is some rough cobblestone you have to run on near the finish line.

Nice medal. Good shirt. Easy course, although it is narrow the whole way. It was not organized well. The buses did not run on time. I waited for over an hour before I saw a bus. Even though I was there waiting 45 minutes before the last bus was to run, I ended up getting to the back check while they played the anthem. Even though it was their fault we were late, they started the race. So, there I was having to run behind almost the entire field of over 1,000 runners. If it is you fault Runners are late, give them 5 minutes after they get off your bus to check their gear and hit the potty. That being said, I bet they get it right next time. It was the first year for the race. See the medal in the picture.

Beautiful scenery in a mostly flat course. There is short but very steep hill located around mile 21. Also, there is a small patch of cobblestone you run on which is awful for 100 meters or so. The shirt was a good quality performance shirt, but white. Medal was nice but a little small of a marathon. Course was well marked and support station were frequent.

Very crowded start with marathon and half marathon runners together. A lot of walkers up front. In my mind it was poor (if any) method to assigning corrals. I was in B and people in A were walking before the first water station. This was not one or two but dozens. The expo was good. Nice quality medal and shirt. Running through Church Hill downs was cool. There is a few miles in a park that are scenic and a short stretch of down town, but mostly nothing really to look at.

This was the prettiest run I’ve ever done. Cherry blossoms, dogwoods, pear trees, and crape myrtle trees all in bloom while running along side of beautiful horses. The shirt had a hood which means I don’t wear it. The medal was incredible. The only down side is that you cannot stay within walking distance of the start of the race. Traffic was terrible and they delayed the start on a freezing very windy morning by about 15 minutes because of the traffic. Granted, if I had been stuck in traffic I would have been thankful for the delay, but I was there freezing.
