This was my third year in a row running the Wine Country Half in Kelowna, BC. I live an hour down the road which did make for an early morning. Dad picked me up at 4:30 am and we arrived to catch our bus to the start line at 5:30 am. When the race started at 7 am the sun was shining and we were ready to run! There are a few logistics with this race. Catching a bus to the start line is just one of them. They also run a relay option as well but everything is so well organized it went off without a hitch. As usual. The road signage was excellent, at no time did you doubt the route and it was lovely and scenic. What a fantastic day!

This was my first wine and dine at Disneyworld. I would definately go back and do this race again. As a night race it is unique and with the food and wine festival afterwards that makes it the total package. This year it was unfortunate because of the rain. It started raining when we were in our corals and didn’t let up all night long. Even though we had dry clothes in our checked bags we couldn’t break the chill. We made it until 4 am at the park but we were cold and damp and if wasn’t Disney I would dare say cranky, but we pulled through. Disney races are unlike any other and I love them!

The Rock N Roll series of races are unlike non other. The bling was fantastic, the shirts were epic and the torrential rain from the day before even let up. The course went through an industrial area into the Stanley park and along the sea wall it was fantastic. The course photography was not great but the bands every miles really keep you going.
