The race was 1/2 a mile longer than 26.2. It was very disheartening to get to the 26.2 mile point and still have to run an extra half mile to … MORE
The race was 1/2 a mile longer than 26.2. It was very disheartening to get to the 26.2 mile point and still have to run an extra half mile to get to the finish. Also, there was no food or snacks leftover for some of the marathoners crossing the finish line. Just a water station. The beer was put away by the time I crossed the finish line. Not cool. Marathoners worked twice as hard as the half marathoners and it would be nice to at least have some post race food SET ASIDE for full marathoners—regardless of their finishing time.
