This is my second time running Big Sur. Two years ago, I chose it as my first marathon and I think it was the best decision. It is a very tough marathon but the views are unmatched and everything from the registration to the expo to the aid stations and volunteers runs smoothly. The race directors give their personal touch as well as the grizzled vets who’ve run the race every year and share their love of the race at the expo. The experience is just incredible in every bit of the process.
