The scenery was spectacular! Due to the morning start, we got to run the race during the early morning fog, which is why the mountains are named the “smoky” mountains, which added a lot of beauty to the race. I was worried about the “mostly uphill” description of the race, but it didn’t seem bad to me at all, and I am not a super strong runner. I will definitely do this one again.
