We flew into Bozeman, rented a car, and drove down to Jackson through Yellowstone- an awesome addition to this fantastic race!! If you’re used to a low altitude, try arriving a few days early (I’m from MN, and appreciated a few days to acclimate to the 6,000+ ft elevation).

So different from a road race- this is 100% trail- expect rocks and boulders, wooden planks, gravel, and roots everywhere. There are some brutally steep areas, but the trail is beautiful. Not the greatest cell phone reception up there, and if injured you may need to walk a few miles to the next (or previous) aid station as atvs can’t access the trail. Great support from crew and fellow runners, and overall a very fun experience!
