This is a stunning course with plenty to keep you busy when you’re off the course too! The best part is when the route transitions to tail and you get to run along The Rim Trail on Lake Powell. This race has the easiest trail portion of the VRs that I have participated in.

This was the inaugural race in Saguaro; hopefully the first on many. The course was challenging, but doable. 60/40 trail. Beautiful scenery. This race was in March in Arizona; perfect weather for a half. VR pulled off this race in a pandemic without needing to sacrifice too much of who they are. If they do Saguaro again, I’ll be back!
