After hearing about this race from friends and reading other reviews online, I put this race on my bucket list and decided to pull the trigger this year. I was initially nervous about the hills and humidity, but running in Southeast Ohio summers has prepared me for that!
Everything about this race was well done from the expo, transportation to the race, the course itself, the bling and the great band at the finish line, but the volunteers really made this race special. I am a mid to back of the pack runner and the volunteers at the aid stations cheered like I was coming in first every time I approached.
I was lucky enough to snag a hotel room near the finish line, so I could quickly shower and go back and join the race festivities. There were plenty of local restaurants to dine at and the $7 voucher for food was an added bonus!
I will definitely make an effort to run this race again!
