This is a well run race on a great course (although the overall distance was off by .25 mile long). The weather on the day was miserable but the volunteers turned out and ran the water stations despite the wind and rain.

Town of Celebratuon is very pretty, the scenery takes your mind off the miles. I love the boardwalk sections, this year you just had to tread cautiously because of the rain.

The race swag is always impressive, but this year’s medal was very disappointing, small with a fussy design. If you go small, go classic and simple!

The Runners’ village is always really well supported by the local restaurants. When you are cold, wet and tired hot pancakes, syrup and coffee hit the spot,

This truly is a flat course. The route meanders through picture perfect homes, tropical boardwalks and quiet ponds which keep your mind buzzing for 13.1 miles. You arrive at the finish line in picturesque downtown Celebration and refuel at the street market with great food provided by the local restaurants. All this and amazing runners race swag.
A boutique race in Florida, in January – it doesn’t get much better than this 💕

Traveling from Florida I was nervous about running at altitude and in the colder weather. A gentle shake out run a day before didn’t settle my nerves. Yes, it was cold on race morning, but the prerace hot chocolate was a warming surprise As the sun rose the scenery unfolded; the views were stunning. The weather quickly warmed up to tank top weather. The route takes you on a gradual incline from start to finish. Miles 11 -13.1 take your breath away, the views are almost too perfect to be true. The best finish line panarama ever ……. mpMake sure you put this one on your bucket list.
