Santa Rosa is so easy to travel to. Direct flights to SR airport or fly to Oakland and take a shuttle for $30. The half marathon is flat and shaded along the river bed. The vineyards and wine cellar portion of the run is only for the full marathon. Despite that, I still loved the half. It was my first run in Santa Rosa and my 18 th half marathon overall. I will definitely do it again next year. Perfect for a girlfriend trip. Great restaurants and easy transportation w Lyft and Uber. It cost $10-12 to get most places, so easy without a rental!!
