The course is beautiful, but in typical Seattle fashion it rained & was so cold. Plus the course had a couple gnarly hills towards the end. The medal & swag was pretty lame. Also, there was no one really cheering along the course.
I’ve done way more fun half & 10ks so as my first marathon I was kind of let down.

It was a nice easy race, mostly flat or even a little downhill. They were good about aid stations even though it was a small race. Being from around the area it was fun to see all these little towns you run through on a more personal level. They have all kinds of different runs over the weekend which was fun. And they even gave a car away to one of the runners! After the race there was music and games and tons of free food which is always a plus.

This race goes through all the different parts of Spokane, which is a truly beautiful city. Bloomsday is the most fun run I’ve ever done. It’s huge and truly a city wide event. All the way along the course there are locals cheering you on as you run through neighborhoods. They have local bands set up along the course to play for you as you run. Then afterwards there is a big after party in downtown. Truly a must run.
