Very interesting race! Running through all the parks was a blast. Absolutely amazing time. As for the remaining part of the race, it was really brutal. LOTS of highway miles (around 20 of them) which turns to being time long and boring.

Production wise, really well done. Easy transfer to my hotel after the race, and the expo was super simple.

This was a fun one for sure. Loved going over the bridge to Canada, and then coming back through the tunnel to the US. NOTE, the tunnel is FAST, LOUD, and HOT. But I think it was the best part of the whole race.

The production was fantastic, photos delivered immediately. Even with border patrol, it was ran perfectly. Had a fun race and the course was very flat (minus the bridge but I walked it).

Overall, fantastic time and would highly recommend!

The first 12 miles were FAST and downhill. Watch out for elevation as it really is tough to get your breath.

Mile 12-15ish we’re challenging due to the uphill battle.

The final stretch was through the mountains and quite lovely.

The race was a blast for the first 14 miles, but then the second half is a different story. You basically need to do the whole run again which is very exhausting and repetitive. Wish there was more downtown Asheville vs doing repeats through a trailer park.

Watch out for mile 8-10, VERY tough as its through the woods and multiple runners were twisting their ankles.

The afterparty was fun in the arts district

The race was a great time! The course was very tough, lots of rolling hills and the second half really was difficult. Mike 15-18 we’re extremely rough. Mike 25 also had a crazy hill. Kinda boring on Mile 19-24 as its an out back.

BUT…. the race production was excellent. The people were fantastics, the expo (though small), was well put together. The finish line was great which led you back INSIDE to the expo which was a great tough. Clearly, Little Rock looks forward to this event every year and they put on a great show. Happy to run it! Also, like everyone says, the medal was massive!

This was a tough one for sure, not because the course was flat, but the rain and head winds we’re extremely tough. I enjoyed mile 1-7, but then the course got extremely boring and not too scenic. My time was higher due to the weather conditions, would have done better if there wasnt rain! Regardless, pretty simple course.

The expo was pretty good! Not too big (Boston) or too small (Delaware). Finish line could have had a better atmosphere, but that was most likely due to the rain

Terrible Expo – only 2 vendors
First 13 were hilly but really fun.
Not the biggest fan running past the finish line for half marathon.
The final 13 we’re very boring and long, no fan support and just an out and back. Love running on the water which was great, but just a “meh” race.
The medal was pretty cool though.

Awesome vibe, LOVED running the first 12 miles throughout the city and on the water. Really fast course in the beginning. Not the biggest fan of the second half as it was an out and back and on a very busy road. Great finish regardless under the arch way! Big party afterwards, really great time!

Was a nice and low key marathon. I say low key being there werent too many crowds. Some quick notes and highlights:
-Expo was well organized and easy to get in and out
-Before the race, the bonfires were key, but be aware that your clothes will smell like ash during the race
-First 7 miles were easy, miles 7-12 were TOUGH, but after that, its literally fast and downhill
-Mile 25 had washclothes which was great for the finish

Overall, fun race! Gatorade and Water and every mile marker. Number 19 in the books!

Dont get me wrong, I did enjoy the run, the issue is that there were stretches where it wasnt scenic (running next to the highway) and it felt like it dragged out. The start line was well organized and the finish was a good party, but around mile 12-17, there wasnt much to enjoy. Regardless, had a fun time, loved the medal made out of glass!
