Flat and fast course! The weather is nice and cool and great for PR’s. Easy and organized packet pickup. I didn’t like the design of the shirt personally, but it happens. Loved being able to stay warm in the convention center before the race and after. Organized start so I was not forced to dodge a bunch of people. Great volunteers and spectators! In addition to a really nice medal you get a finishers hat. I would have liked more official merchandise specifically for the half marathon. I don’t want to wear anything that just says marathon when I didn’t run it. Overall I would definitely recommend!

If I lived in the area I might recommend this race, but advertising as a destination race and living out of state it left a lot to be desired. Overall I enjoyed the course with the exception of the gravel (I’m talking huge chunks of rock for many miles) that hurt my feet and the humidity (which is probably to be expected). Great volunteers, a nice medal, and a good after party (although technically you had to pay extra). The race shirt is one I will never wear and parking was so bad we barely made it to the start and I wasn’t able to use the restroom before the race started. If some of these issues were resolved I would definitely recommend this race, but as it stands for someone traveling here I think not.
