This is one of my favorite races because I really just love the course. You start in downtown Dallas, through some of the uptown areas, into some high class neighborhoods, then you’re running around White Rock Lake. It’s very scenic with enough challenges along the way. Mile 20 is a BEAST. You get to see the hill on your way to the lake, then hit the hill on the way out from the lake. It was grueling. This race draws a lot of runners. I mean, A LOT. If you’re looking to make good time, start in corral A.

This year was the 20th Anniversary for the FW Zoo Run. Because of that, I believe, the attendance was up. A lot of runners and walkers. A lot of children … MORE
This year was the 20th Anniversary for the FW Zoo Run. Because of that, I believe, the attendance was up. A lot of runners and walkers. A lot of children who did not watch where they were headed, often stopping in the lane. I would have enjoyed running through more of the zoo. Race was well done, overall.
