Completed 30k this am. Parking ticket machine, slow, so come early. Race markings are not good to say the least. I thought after 12 years it would be locked down. … MORE
Completed 30k this am. Parking ticket machine, slow, so come early. Race markings are not good to say the least. I thought after 12 years it would be locked down. Disappointed. Site states fire roads and single track, ok this was the toughest single track. Had to watch the ground as it was so easy to trip and fall. Tiny single track. Towards the finish, signage confusing, I ended up running an additional 1.3 miles. Done but very hard and pretty technical. Not a beginner course at all. No medical and more course monitors needed. The volunteers were AWESOME. Bling was same for all races, would love to see at least a differential ribbon.
It’s a tough freaking race, supports a great cause, but be prepared to run a tough race.

This was the best first time marathon. Course was pretty flat, weather could not of been more perfect. I walked the 5k the day before and ran the marathon the next day. Seriously so much fun. So happy I did it. The bling is phenomenal and I LOVE my medals. Run this race, you will not be disappointed

This was freaking tough. Ok my first 30k race and this was a tough trail run. Serious elevation gains of 2600 plus. Just when you think hill will end, it doesn’t. This is hard, I won’t lie. Scenery is beautiful and it was foggy at the start. Fantastic. I’m a runner, a mountain goat of sorts, I love trail running. Only a few things I’d change, you need medical personnel available, you are alone a lot on trail, something could happen and you are miles from a check point. The bling should be differentiated between race distance. More race marshalls should be there to just be aware of where racers are. Like I said, you are out there a lot alone. I did have fun and yes would do again

I’ve been bit by the running bug. I knew I wasn’t ready for s full marathon but wanted to be part of this event. My running bff said yes to a relay and we both did it. Weather was great the bling is cool, every medal different whether 5k, 2,3 or 4 person relay or marathon. Doing the full marathon this year. It will be my 2nd marathon yet.

This is a tough 9 mile run, but the scenery, bling and weather make it worth while. It has some pretty steep inclines so be prepared. The area through the golf course is quite lovely. There is a crazy steep hill in the golf area. Great packet pick up as well. It’s a fun time, definitely add to your list to run.

This was so fun. Folsom puts on great races. This was my very first half marathon. This first 5 miles are pretty much downhill. But one you hit the bike trail you are going to have some ups and downs. Coming back at about mile 10 it’s a slow incline, but you will be going uphill most of the way. I recommend this fun race. Bling is awesome and I loved it so much, running it again next month
