Heidi Johnson's Staging Area

A year my youngest son who was a runner was injured in a horrible accident.  He had to learn to walk again, I started running because he couldn’t. He is having surgery again in a few months to have his hardware removed.  He raced in the Mesa Falls 5K and got 3rd overall which is really an accomplishment for him because almost a year ago to the day he was learning to walk, so i did my first half marathon in his behalf, while he ran his. We chose Mesa Falls because the scenery, the course, the town in amazing , and its in my parents back yard so we would have the support that we had all year. My dad took me by the hand and ran across the finish line with me. Together we can do hard things !!
