Well organized race with aid stations every 3km. Most of the aid stations had water and Nuun (sports drink) but 2 did run out of Nuun. Race course is fair … MORE
Well organized race with aid stations every 3km. Most of the aid stations had water and Nuun (sports drink) but 2 did run out of Nuun. Race course is fair though the 6km on the Red Hill Expressway (though downhill) are very hard on the legs. Staging area at Dofasco Park is good allowing for an indoor heated space prior to the race. Race Expo is fair. Race post food is fair – nothing terrific but it is sufficient.
My biggest gripe is the medal; while it’s well done, the half-marathon and full marathon finishers receive the exact same medal which has both distances (21 and 42K) on the medal. This is cheap and left me feeling irritated.
