Let’s be honest, for most, a marathon is a grueling 26.2 miles and just finishing is a feat all on its own. However, the stunning views will keep you a bit distracted for a while. I couldn’t get over the lush landscape, the morning sun creeping over the hills on this cloudless day. The gorgeous mountains as my backdrop and the Missoula River running alongside me allowed me to focus on the dull ache that was slowly creeping into my quads and feet. The weekend overall was perfect! I enjoyed the runner’s expo and the 5k beer run! Honestly, who wouldn’t? And though the race coordinators had no impact on the weather, I will have to say that the weather was perfect and I would do this race again in hopes of the weather being just as great! #firstbestrace 🙂
